![]() I've taken mail addressed to a PO Box No. However, from around September 2012 their website announced that they no longer accepted items for the "International Signed For" or "Airsure" services that was addressed to a P O Box number. It has a big red R and Recommande (apologies if I've spelt it wrongly) which is the French word for "registered" on the service lable and is regarded as registered mail by overseas postal administrations. Royal Mail introduced "International Signed For" some years ago. This subject has been covered in other threads. Likewise many customers in rural Australia, USA, Africa, and Canada only have PO Boxes and USPS does not deliver to the home address. He said he had the same problem as many of his eBay sales were to the Gulf area and we know that some of these countries have no street delivery for anything as they have no house numbers! Everybody has a PO Box. I questioned a PO manager about what we do for countries where there is no street delivery service. Please note that International Signed For is not available to PO boxes. Regular readers will know that the UK's 'registered' services are either ' Airsure' which is tracked-all-the-way** but not signed on receipt, and ' International Signed For' which is tracked in the UK and some countries* but which should definitely be signed for (although experiences vary!). I was warned that this might be happening, and now I have found it by accident.
